A little history
 The streets around still bear the names of the initial destinations: Avenue of Maine, Street of Rennes. One of the oldest stations of Paris (1840), it was completely rebuilt after the 2nd World war. The preceding neo-classic building masked a cast iron cover (Falconer) collapsed in a few months of its inauguration. A new station, düe with the architect Victor Lenoir, was built between 1848-1852. |

 A little history
The name of Austerlitz points out the battle gained by Napoleon in Austria on December 2, 1805 against the troops austro-Russian. With the origin, it was the station terminus for Companie of Orleans operating its first line since 1840. Successive extensions took place in 1846 and 1852.

A little history
 Chronologically the first of the Parisian stations, it was built initially (1837) a little more in north, close to current Place of Europe, for the line Paris - Saint-Germain-en-Laye. Rebuilt by Alfred Armand between 1841-1843, it was increased later by Eugene Flachat (1851-1853), in particular by the addition of five covered halls of the metal structure, broadest having a range of 40 meters.
